OBJECT NEGATIVE

At the Cranbrook Academy of Art in Detroit, Michigan, Michael Kokora presented "OBJECT NEGATIVE." Against the conceptual backdrop of works by Michael Heizer, Gordon Matta Clark, and Michel Foucault, OBJECT NEGATIVE opened a critique of urban form, resiliency planning, and landscape architecture. Various forms of urban removal, obsolescent urbanism, overbuilding, subtraction, and speculative forms of negative space planning were presented and debated in an interactive discussion.
