VILLA CONCEPT
Located at the 38th Parallel, Yinchuan’s climate is marked by warm temperate summers and cold winters. We oriented the villas’ skylights so they are shielded in the summer but open to the low sun in the winter in order to passively warm the interiors in the cold of winter. The villas are staggered in order to generate variation and privacy for entrances and terraces overlooking the garden.

RESIDENCE CONCEPT
Organized in a simple bar punctuated by a spiral stair, the on-site residences are shaded passively from the west sun with a series of movable weathered steel louvered panels.
